“I’ve created guiding principles based off of 3 of my values. One of them is belonging. The second is collaboration. And the third is equity. Anything that I take part in or consider taking part in, first runs through these guiding principles. And if it doesn't align, then I'm not going to do it because it's just not going to feel good to me or my business.”
“Allyship is a journey. And it's one that will never be ending, I'll say this over and over and over again. Because as long as there are humans existing, we will need people to advocate for those who may not be able to or need help in speaking for themselves.”
“You have to prioritize your ally ship, whether you have a different name for it, or you call it something different, standing up for people and creating spaces where people belong has to be prioritized.”
“I try to model the behavior that I want the people who come into my space to model as well, that doesn't mean that I'm perfect, or that I don't make mistakes because I do modeling inclusive behavior can be contagious.”
